2018 Student Leadership Summit
Corvallis, OR
Friday January 19th - Sunday January 21st
The Oregon State University (OSU) ITE Student Chapter is excited to host the 5th Annual Western District ITE Student Leadership Summit (SLS). SLS is an event designed to promote the development of professional and leadership skills among students in the Western District.
The 2018 SLS, which will be the first summit held outside California, will continue to build upon the previous successes of the summit and bring together approximately 120 students from 40 universities across Western ITE to enhance their academic and professional success.
The 2018 SLS will occur from January 19th to January 21st, 2018, in the CH2M Hill Alumni Center on the OSU campus in Corvallis, Oregon. OSU ITE will present the unique challenges and opportunities facing the transportation industry and how to incorporate existing and emerging technologies to resolve these issues. To convey this technical knowledge and develop professional and leadership skills, the 2018 SLS will include:

A keynote speech by Oregon Department of Transportation Director Matthew Garrett

Technical presentations pertaining to transportation engineering,

A panel discussion on leadership opportunities as a young professional,

Speed interviews and resume workshops with industry professionals, and

A team activity that fosters collaboration and leadership.
